This photo has very good lighting, focus, and composition. In order to take this picture, I had to make sure there weren't any shadows that would ruin the focus and lighting of the flower pedals. It took me be about 5 shots to finally get this photo. I think that the focus in this photo is very good because of the raindrops being shown clearly on each pedal.

With this photo, I decided to add a filter to give it a comic book look to it. As I was photoshopping it, the black line on the top showed so to fix this photo I should have cropped it out. The color of the flower looks good with the grey cement background. Over all I think The lighting and composition of this photo is very good.
These have been my favorite top 5 photographers since July because of their individual and unique style in taking photos. For example, Benjamin VonWong takes epic and surreal photos as does Kyle Thompson. On the other hand, Minor White and Flor Garduño focus more on black and white photos. They inspired me to try to find more photos to capture and find my own unique style in photography. Benjamin VonWong Kyle Thompson Minor White Steve McCurry Flor Garduño
The #LiveWaterSmart photo contest which is hosted on Instagram (@sdcwa) from May 1 to May 31, 2017 is a contest to highlight the value of water and promote water-use efficiency as a lifestyle regardless of the weather. Although entering is easy for participants, some students agree that the "most liked" voting system is the fairest, however a majority of others do not agree. The winner of the competition will be determined by the number of "likes" the best photo receives. While Mr. Lim was explaining the voting system to our class, some students such as Christian Bourke agreed with the voting system and said, "If people like your photo, they will leave a like on it, and if they don't like it, they're obliviously not going to leave a like." Although some may agree with this, other students including Joshua Ibasco said, "The voting system is practically a popularity contest which isn't fair because it doesn't prove which is the best quality photo." Mr. Lim is recommending a better voting system: the top 5 most liked photos become the finalist, then judges pick the best photo out of the top 5.
In this photo I think there is good focus, lighting, and composition. Although the ray of light on the A on "Baron" looks weird, I think it gives the picture a dramatic feel. The flowers in the foreground also give the photo more detail and betters the composition. Overall, I think this photo is good but could have some small slight changes in order to improve.
The focus in this photo is off. It focuses more on my shoulder than the Nike sign. I think that to improve this photo the focus should've been better, but the lighting is good. Also, the background is a little distracting and shows a trash can out of focus. Overall, I think this is a good photo but needs better focus and composition.
I really like this photo because of the composition and lighting. The sun shining through his head gives this photo a more dramatic effect to the photo. Although there is part of a palm tree sticking out of his head, it gives the photo a more funny and silly effect. Overall, the focus and background could have been better but the emotion of this photo and facial expression are my favorite things of this photo.
This photo can be improved in many ways. Since there is so much going on in the photo, I should have focused more on the background instead of the foreground. The focus could have been improved if I would have waited a few more seconds to take this picture. Also, since the weather was quite glory this day I should have added a filter to improve the lighting.
This photo shows color, texture, and space. I like the focus of this photo because it shows the texture of the bubbles. I also like how to the right open circle created by the bubbles, shows the blue side of the mat. I put a filter on this photo to brighten up the white bubbles even more and make the picture have better lighting.
The composition of this photo is very good, but if I would have cropped the people in the background it would have been an A photo. Overall, it was a gloomy day so the lighting was kind of off but was still good. Also, I like how the twins are on the sides and how I am in the middle. Lastly, I like how the smiles on the girls' faces show their emotions and them being happy spending time together.
